This a poem for Monday
Although I wrote it on Sunday
It is not an especially fun day
It’s not my scheduled run day
It’s never been my ‘eat-a-bun’ day
Though it’s often my ‘make-a-pun’ day
But I do really hope that one day
I wake up not hating Monday
Every day should be “Make-A-Pun Day.”

That sounds like a punishing schedule

I reckon I could come up with something – we pronounce it ‘Wens’day round my way.

Hey Be Nice Monday wouldn’t be so bad if it came later in the week.
Should I run for a bun on a fun, make a pun Sunday?
Laugh it bothers people

Monday knows exactly what it’s doing and I won’t accept excuses for its behaviour

I’m subject to “The Sunday Blues”. I don’t always get them, but if I’m going to be blue because of the day, it will be a Sunday. I guess it’s because it’s the end of the weekend. I think, years ago, it was because all the stores were closed. That was really depressing. Now, of course, with Amazon, I can shop whenever I want to shop. It’s hard to feel blue when you’re shopping.

Retail therapy often helps, but I’d agree, Sunday is the real villain of the piece.
