We are, once again, at that time of the week when I post a picture produced by my daughter, with her washable felt tip pens, and make the bold claim that it is art.
This particular bit of my blog has been going on for months but the last few weeks have been given over to the pictures she produced early in September when a relatively mild cold prevented me from taking her out in public due to the fact that the symptoms of the common cold are potentially similar to a certain virus that appears to have broken the world.
This particular entry is the seventh of the nine pieces she produced that weekend. ‘7 of 9’ was a character in one of the Star Treks. I’ve watched all of the Star Treks, but my daughter has no interest in Star Trek. So this has nothing to do with Star Trek.
I quite like Star Trek, but not as much as I like Star Wars.
This drawing also has nothing to do with Star Wars. Although Little Proclaims has shown some interest in a toy lightsaber. The toy lightsaber is actually mine, but I didn’t buy it for myself. Someone else bought it for me. I am glad they did though. It’s quite good fun.
And, as it turns out, an excellent way to entertain a two-year-old.
But to reiterate, this picture, if it is of anything at all, is not of anything in either Star Trek or Star Wars.
