Because life is better when
I can eat more cake

  1. This is exactly why I exercise as well 😉

  2. I don’t exercise
    Because life is better when
I can eat cake and not exercise.

    1. I’m inclined to agree but it fails to meet even the most basic criteria for a haiku. If nothing else my push-ups are poetic…

  3. Let’s be honest… this little ditty drips more in irony than sweat.

  7. The important word being “more”, because we are all going to eat cake, exercise or not. I am all for more cake.

    1. Exactly. The eating of cake is non negotiable. But more is better…

  8. My form don’t rank as a haiku but…
Lifting weights to lose weight/ Leaves me in a ravenous state/ Toe touches and stomach crunches/ Make me fit for bigger lunches.

    1. Nice verse but actually that does sound like more exercise than I’m comfortable with…

      1. Comfortable? COMFORTABLE!? But I understand, lets not express too much energy on the debate, its best to sit and ruminate.

  9. And once more it is shown the REAL action in many a blog post kicks off at the after-party aka the comments section.
This stuff – the above twenty or so snide thought snippets – are all giggle-worthy in the extreme and top-shelf entertainment in their own right.

But let us not forget it was James who provided the initial impetus to get the whole rollicking snowball skittling farcically down the mountain slope with his three line ditty-like ‘cupcake’ and then followed it by carrying out his MC-ing duties to the most engaging standard.

I’ve paid good money to see films, plays and concerts that entertained me a whole lot less than what goes on on these pages.
