Late nights and parties
Were once my weekends but now
I doze in a chair

  1. Sympathies. In memory of pogoing and punking it up;
    Sit This One Out?
    I do rather enjoy
    Reclining in my lay-z-boy,
    But nothing can compare
    To rockin’ my rocking chair.

  5. Every second that ticks by is a second of your life that you’re not getting back. Something to ponder as you doze in your chair.

  6. What has amazed me is how cheap the thrills are as I get older. When I was younger, were I not out on a weekend, I would be unhappy thinking I was missing something. Now that I’m older, I’m happy to be at home because I know what I’m missing!! The cheap thrill is being home with the guy I married and the dogs.

    1. While I enjoy being at home with my wife and child, the child appears to have removed ‘cheap’ from my vocabulary. Everything is expensive at the moment…
