I’ve never watched Game of Thrones. I did read the novels, though. Maybe I should read them all again.
If I’m lucky, by the time I get to the end of them George RR May have finally gotten around to finishing the long awaited next one.
I’ll try to read slowly 😉

Loved the TV series but not read the novels yet. Most of them are sitting on my bookshelf but it turns out that I am a very slow reader these days.

I was not an initial Thrones fan as fantasy is not my genre. But I found the first novel in a hospital waiting room and was hooked. Blew through all the books then binge watched a few years worth till I caught up real time. The husband wouldn’t watch, thought it was stupid… until an injury laid him up. He binged watched the entire series in a week and a half. Totally addicted. Ha!

You know, fantasy isn’t my genre either, and I haven’t read the books nor watched the series for that reason, but your note has certainly made me think I might give Thrones a shot someday.

For the first few episodes I’d thought I’d made a mistake. There’s a lot of superfluous sex, but once you get past that the characters grab you and don’t let go. As for the books, they’re long winded times, so if you’re looking for a quick beach read, this isn’t it.
