Oh we’re still in lockdown three
Yearning to be free
But you won’t find me whinging
Instead I’ve started binging
Boxsets, booze and food
Whatever takes my mood
I’m looking quite a state
I’m more than overweight
But it’s hard to really care
If I’m not going anywhere
And since I’m staying here
I’ll have another beer
If I’ve had too much to drink
It’s best not to overthink
I’m not yet an alcoholic
Though I have touch of colic
But while life is such a bore
I might as well eat more

It’s cold and depressing, I know. My daughter in Edinburgh is just LOVING feeling the walls cosily closing in, so sympathies. But a line or two of advice;
Eat, drink merrily, spread and lounge about,
But oh, my friend, beware the dreaded gout.

Well, I’m getting a puppy. I like to think a puppy is a nice healthy outlet in a pandemic. I won’t be over-eating or over-drinking. Everything will be all about the puppy. I guess I won’t be over-sleeping either with an 8 week old puppy, but… that’s beside the point.
