When I can’t cope
I look for hope
In empty calories
In salted snacks and melted cheese
Food gives relief
Though not without grief
For the less I abstain
The more weight I gain
And perhaps even worse
The comfort’s inverse
The more I find in chow
The less my trousers offer now

  1. Don’t be distraught, just carry on and carry the extra poundage well.
As you spread far and wide
    Toss the frayed belt aside,
    Hello hotdogs and chicken tenders
    And heavyweight suspenders.

  3. To eat the doughnut whole, or eat the doughnut hole? That is the question.
An empty choice for some, but not for others.

  4. When I’m not feeling divine, I drink lots of wine. The calories are there, but I really don’t care, because there aren’t a lot, and it really hits the spot:-)

  6. (Sung to the tune of “The Way We Were”)

Calories, Light the corners of my mind
    Crispy sugar coated calories
    And how thin we were

Can it be that there was so much salad then
Why have snacks rewritten every line
If I had the chance to eat Ice Cream again
    Or chocolate cookies, Snookies

Weight gain. I Must buy a Peloton
I will pedal and eat donuts.
To Heck with how we were

Try Laughter It might catch on

  7. I wish I lived in one of those countries where people deemed fat as being attractive. The people (women) that really annoy me are the ones that have the nerve to say that they wish they could gain some weight. I feel like saying, “Yes, you’d look so much better if you did”, but of course, I can’t say things like that so I resort to insincerity.
