It’s been a refreshing two days of not gently mocking the rudimentary online learning programme that is ‘Blogging 101’, yet my last two posts were, in fact, assignments for said course. Some might say that my writing is more appealing when it’s not specifically on the topic of blogging. To those people I say…
…well, you probably do have a point.
However ‘Blogging 101’ lasts but two more days, so I shall resume the pretence of being the insincere student, even though anyone who reads this regularly (and yes those people do exist, they’re just a very small group of the intellectual elite at the moment), knows that I’ve been secretly following the course diligently.
And now it’s time for the penultimate assignment, which is:
Extend your brand with one of the following: a custom Blavatar, a custom image widget, or a Facebook fan page.
To which I reply, done, done and done.
I could explain what a Blavatar is, but it’s easier to show you. This is mine:
This is why it’s cool.
Some people call them Favicons. I have no preference for either term. I can’t imagine using either with any kind of regularity.
But I’m not sure that any of the above is ‘extending my brand’ enough. So I’ve created this awesome range of merchandise. None of which will ever be available in a store near you.
You know you want it all…
I made the mistake of reading this at work and then had to turn my snort of laughter into a sort “coffee went the wrong way” cough. I do hope this merchandise will be signed?
