Welcome back to my regular Monday feature where I publish something that looks like it might be a poem but on closer inspection may not be a poem. Is this a poem? You decide…

More Haste, Less Speed

“More haste, less speed!”
Said the Rabbit
This was an odd thing for a rabbit to say,
Because rabbits are not known for their advocacy
Of a cautious approach to anything,
And it was all the more unusual,
Because in general,
Rabbits can’t speak.
But this one could,
And he said,
“More haste, less speed!”

  1. This raises an interesting point… is a poem a piece of prose that is just presented differently?!

  2. I think there are definite shades of grey. Not fifty of them obviously – that’s something else entirely…
