Z Is For Zeal

James Proclaims (4)

Cool Text - Z 180212900812257Z is for ‘Zeal’

I had a tremendous amount of zeal when I started this A-Z challenge but the zeal started to disappear about halfway through when I realised that I hadn’t really thought it through.

Still I’ve made it to the end and I feel a certain amount of zeal about that.

Also this is apparently my 200th post on ‘James Proclaims’ which isn’t bad given that I’ve been doing this less than a year. That’s two hundred different days that I found the time to blog and even if some of what I’ve written has been met with minimal zeal by those of you who read this on a regular basis, at least some of what I’ve written has been ok.

Assuming that about 50% of what I’ve written has been quite good, that’s still a hundred posts and a hundred posts that aren’t that bad over the course of a year is certainly worthy of a little zeal.

It’s unfortunate that you have to churn through the other hundred in order to find the good ones but just think of James Proclaims as being a bit like ‘life as described by Forrest Gump’.

And really, who doesn’t like a box of chocolates?

Though truthfully if you look on the back of the box you probably can work out what you’re going to get.

Anyway the alphabet theme is over and normal service can resume.

I’m going to disappear for a few days.

I’d like to imagine that during those few days I’ll be thinking of ways to improve the quality of my posts.

But alas, I fear it will continue to be the lottery it currently is.

Let’s just hope the next post is a winner.

Congratulations on reaching the end, even if it has unzealed you. I decide on my theme, which it has to be said is always the same, do the research, write, find a photo and write a poem about an animal, but don’t write too much, and try to do 3 a day starting a week before and scheduling. that way pretty soon they are all done and you can just check each night for booboos and better wording or something funnier and spend more time getting to see the other bloggers.

Yes, I pretty much realised that a bit more preparation would’ve been a good idea when I got to around ‘E’ but by then I was already too committed to back out. I’ll definitely give it a bit more thought next year. I was quite jealous of all the bloggers that had chosen themes.

Well, congratulations on finishing! I think I had the same technique as you, and my zeal most definitely dropped off. I’m clearly not a fast learner as I did exactly the same last year.

At this point I’d like to imagine I’ll learn from this experience but I already know that I won’t….
