The September Sessions – 9 of 9

Welcome to a very special ‘Artist’s Corner’. The ninth and final instalment of the seminal ‘September Sessions’, a series of drawings produced by my two-year-old daughter one weekend in September when she was a little bit under the weather and consequently not able to venture out in these germophobic times, for fear of inducing panic.

‘The September Sessions’ have produced some memorable pieces, no doubt, but I think we can all agree that she saved the best until last.

I’m not sure words can truly convey what a stunning achievement 9 of 9 is:

I’m sure there are many regular readers who will be saddened by the end of this series, but you’ll be pleased to know that Little Proclaims has continued to produce many more masterpieces since completing ‘The September Sessions’. Enough to probably warrant me dedicating this entire blog to just posting her drawings. Which may be preferable to the never-ending haikus.

But all that is for another time.

Tune in tomorrow for what will very likely be an underwhelming haiku.

What is currently taking place within Donald trump’s cranium. Thoughtful work.

I don’t think ‘thoughtful work’ is taking place within Donald Trump’s cranium…

The one we’ve all been waiting for, her seminal Four Seasons. We can see the yellow of spring almost forgotten, the dynamic blues of summer now taken over by the browns of autumn and that subtle black hint of the winter to come.

Couldn’t comment today as do saddened by the end of this box set.
When do you expect her to be ill again so that a new series can be created?

I think she’s already created several new series. I’ve lost count.

It is doubtful if everyone will see the same subliminal demand that this work invokes. There is much to be said for the faint feint of the barely perceptible (surely that is faint you imbecile!) backdrop to the painting. The young artist continues to delight us with fresh ideas, with a hint of cinnamon specially included for the coming seasonal celebrations. I could eat this masterpiece if my teeth hadn’t been eaten by the dog!

The whirl of emotions in the picture takes my breath away. I might have to have a nap as a result.

The fevered culmination of a series of artistic experiments that challenged our concept of even the wunderkind abilities. I see a kind of channeling of Jackson Pollack via Ritalin.

There is a hint of ADHD about her demeanour, but I’m told that could be explained by the fact that she is two
