If I didn’t write this poem
Then probably no-one would
And that would be a shame
Because it might have been quite good
If someone else had written it
It couldn’t be any worse
They might have even said something
Before the second verse
Or stanza as it should be known
If we’re going to be pedantic
Though I prefer my readers
To be a little more sycophantic
But this poem was not written
By another person
It was written by yours truly
And it’s only going to worsen
If I keep on writing
Even one more single word
And to add an extra verse
Would be really quite absurd
And yet I did just that
In the hope it would get better
Sadly it did not but
It’s undeniably meta
But poems written poorly
Is what we sycophants expect
and we will flatter sorely
And your poetry accept

You’re not wrong Herb, but I think
Your contribution enhances
Where instead should make it stink,
And elicit sideways glances

Definitely recognise the MO… I think my drafts folder might have been hacked.

I suppose then I have just one more thing
To say to Mr. Proclaims and you
This offering had stanzas someone might sing
So at least it was not an attempted Haiku

To be fair, we’re both often hacks

Your poem lacks brio, however, there are lots of other cheesy lines. Gouda effort.

The philosopher screams, ‘Who knows what’s Bad?”
“And conversely What is Good?”
So let the world judge your poetry
And keep writing Like you should!!

I could not help but read it, to the very end, I wish that I had wrote it and caused My mind to bend.

I hope it’s not too late, to undoe that fate, although it isn’t always great to keep your mind too straight.
