The James Proclaims NaNoWriMo/NaBloPoMo Adventure – Day 7

James Proclaims (4)

In a change to the usual format (of this relatively new thing I’ve been doing), I’m posting today’s NaBloPoMo effort before I’ve even had a chance to start working on my NaNoWriMo effort. Given that the two ‘projects’ are inextricably linked (just look at the title of the posts) this may seem like an odd thing to do, particularly when I’ve already highlighted the fact that weekends are likely to be when I get the most writing done (a claim already in doubt after yesterday’s poor showing).

Today though there is a more than realisitic chance that I will fail to write anything for my NaNoWriMo project, for reasons I will go into in a moment, but in order to succeed at NaBloPoMo I still have to post something.

That something is this, and rather than give an update on my novel writing, I’m instead forced to give an update on my running, which is something I occassionaly blog about, but haven’t for a while.

However, today I ran a half-marathon, which is something worth blogging about. I didn’t run it especially well, but it’s the first time I’ve attempted anything of that magnitude since 2014, and even that was a relative one-off – my marathon and half-marathon running heyday was between 2002 and 2009. So even running a half-marathon badly was still quite a big deal for me today.

But I’m now too tired to do anything else. Including making this post any better than it currently is.

I expect I’ll write more about my half-marathon exploits in a future post though. Once I’ve had a chance to recover.
