Though Christmas is over
It still lingers on
There remain treats aplenty
To feast upon
I’m not sure I can stop
With so much to choose
And when I get thirsty
There’s no shortage of booze
Balance can be found
With the occassional sprout
Which I’m sure will allay
The onset of gout.
New Year Resolutions
Are still days away
So right now I don’t care
How much I weigh
What does it matter
If I have one more beer?
I might make better choices
Early next year
Though if I don’t do that
If my resolve fails
I’ll just buy bigger clothes
In the January sales
Brilliant! (I’m starting to think maybe my clothes haven’t somehow shrunk a bit.)
