Friday is here once again 
Which is the day I ordain 
To write a poem or rhyme
 For tis a fine paradigm 

Of course any day could work 
This Friday thing is a quirk 
To schedule is not required 
And perhaps uninspired 

But Friday is what I chose 
For poems instead of prose 
Perhaps it would be better 
If this verse was less meta
