My kids have become zombies
Staring blankly at a screen
Watching mindless rubbish
That they've already seen

I've become the father
I claimed I'd never be
Trading their souls
For some brief tranquility

For although the young ones
Are content with their content
Watching worthless drivel
Is never time well-spent

But redemption, perhaps
Is on hand through my retrench
For I always make them
Watch all that crap in French

  2. Lol, we all make compromises. For kids I think there’s a comfort in viewing and then reviewing it. I watched my grandson do exactly that.
    I have sat, numbly seated,
Watching Ms Rachel and bloody Bluey,
    An exercise painfully repeated,
No, non more kids TV for me, merci.
