Washing drying on the line
Some is yours and some is mine
I guess it's probably dry by now
Someone should get it in somehow

But I don't have a basket here
And my shoes are nowhere near
I can't be bothered to get up
I've still got coffee in my cup

I really think that you should go
But you are a laundry no-show
Perhaps you think I'm being unfair
In asking you to do your share

I suppose you maybe are not wrong
Your argument is pretty strong
It's difficult to fetch it in
When you're on a train to Kings Lynn

So I feel that leaves it all to me
Because I'm at home and clearly free
It's quite an easy case to make
But I really want to eat this cake

Perhaps I have delayed too long
I know I'm clearly in the wrong
But we'll have to start it all again
For now it's pouring down with rain
