This week I’ve taken my podcast on the road again. Unlike episode 8, when I recorded myself in South Wales, this week I didn’t even manage to leave Reading.

But I did leave my house and went to work. I regularly go to work of course. Routinely turning up is one of the reasons they pay me. Indeed it may be the only reason they pay me.

But the important thing to note here is that I didn’t have to be in work today. It is actually the first of a two-week break in my school.

But as my kids only get one week off, I thought I’d go in anyway and catch up on some paperwork.

I took the PodTrak with me because I thought I might meet up with Ben and record an episode of that podcast. Which is not this podcast. But he wasn’t there. So I thought I’d do this instead.

In actual fact, by the time I got around to doing this I was already late for this week’s offering, so it was quite serendipitous. My office was pretty good for lighting and the PodTrak definitely is better for sound.

So the technical side of this episode is not too bad.

However, my paranoia about people walking in on my recording a podcast was very real.

And I think that comes across in the episode.

Still, no one actually did come in while I was recording so it’s already doing better than my home in that respect.

I imagine I’ll do more of these from my office in the future.

But not during the working day, because I do actually need this job.
