I confirm today A welcome period of Haiku amnesty
Written yesterday In anticipation of Posting tomorrow
This haiku is ok For all it could be better It could still be worse
The noble haiku Can be truly elegant When done properly
There is no haiku Though there is the illusion Of a haiku here
If I only write A single haiku this week It will be this one
My name is James and I’m a haiku-aholic Having a relapse
Trivial haikus Statistically speaking Are quite popular
Is it ironic That I would not read a blog That’s mostly haikus?
People who click ‘like’ When I write rubbish haikus Are the ones to blame
On days when it rains I often think to myself I don’t much like rain
When I exercise I may release endorphins But they aren’t grateful
Sometimes my blog posts Improve when I edit them But this one did not
Misinformation Can easily cause you to Miss Information
Strongly held beliefs Are not, in and of themselves, Proof that you are right
It’s surely better When life does give you lemons To not accept them
Did we really have This many meetings back when Meetings needed rooms?
If I don’t ‘like’ it It does not always follow That I dislike it
Please do not worry I know the world seems broken But it always was

Christmas is over But like Santa I’ll remain Jolly and quite fat
When writing haikus I use humane practices To count syllables
