These shoes were made for walking
Which for most shoes is largely true
Though some were made for running
But you can walk in those ones too

Some shoes are more for looks
Others are hard-wearing
But my shoes are neither
And frankly I’m past caring

My shoes were made for budgets
That can’t always stretch that far
And while they can do walking
I commute by car

My shoes have been well-used
Now they lack a little sole
For where there once was rubber
There's now a massive hole
