The madness continues.

How on earth can I have now made four episodes of this thing?

Well, the clue is in the title. For a couple of days in August, I was home alone. Like Kevin McCallister off of Home Alone. Only it was fine because I am a 47-year-old man and I pay the mortgage on the house.

We were having windows fitted because our old windows were achieving the double whammy of being impossible to see through and letting in the elements. Which is exactly the opposite of what windows are supposed to do.

So we had to bite the bullet and get new ones, even though I would rather spend that money on anything else. If we had it. Which, honestly, we didn’t really. But a waterproof house you can look out of seemed like a necessity. So we robbed Peter to pay Paul.

Not literally. No Peters were financially inconvenienced by this endeavour.

So that happened, and Mrs Proclaims didn’t want to be around while that happened, so she went to stay with her mum and she took the kids with her.

Well, in point of fact, I drove them there and then drove back.

But I was home alone.

Which seemed like a good opportunity to make podcast episodes.

So I did, and not just this one, but other ones too.

So James Podclaims will be a thing for a few more weeks yet.

And possibly a few more after that, because I’ve worked out how to make these things in the car, so I won’t need my family to go away in future and I won’t need to wait until the kids are in bed.

If anyone walks past my car while I’m doing this, I will look a bit weird.

But frankly, I’m the kind of man who makes 30-minute videos of himself talking to put on the internet, in spite of overwhelming evidence that no one is interested in watching this kind of thing.

If you’d like to be mentioned on a podcast that literally no one is talking about, then leave a comment below and, if it’s appropriately irreverent, I’ll read it out.

And then you’ll have to listen to make sure that I did.
