Tis said that breakfast is important
I don’t know if that’s true
But I know before I’ve had it
My faculties are few
I can’t function til I’ve had it
In one of it’s many guises
My heart says eggs and bacon
But muesli’s what my head advises.
And though my head’s advice
Is for the benefit of my heart
My head rarely wins the fight
When I need my day to start
Life’s too short is my belief
To be sensible when I awake
I can’t get on board with porridge
When I could be eating pancake
And though my life may be shorter
For my poor breakfast choices
When my morning meal is tasty
Then my heart truly rejoices

Why is it that all the things we really enjoy aren’t good for us? There’s obviously a sadistic streak in whatever force designed us.

Yeah, dragging ones bleary-eyed self out of bed only to face a plain gag-inducing yogurt and an unsweetened cuppa is a mugs game.
A cup of treacly sweet triple Hot-shot coffee and a plate of pancakes marinating in maple syrup? Now you can count on starting the day with a smile AND an uptick in your calories and cholesterol. Off to work in a sugar rush.

My favourite meal is all-day breakfast, as long as there’s bacon:-) Also, what goods is that locksmith donating? Should I contact him? Seems legit, lol.
