A Poem About Healthy Eating

Muesli? You amuse me
Why would I eat that?
I’m as healthy as a lion
Albeit one that’s fat

I have no need to change
My diet is just fine
Next you’ll ask me to give up
My daily breakfast wine

It’s not like I’m inactive
I skip, I jump, I hop
I burn those excess calories
On my way to the chip shop

So I’ll pass on the lettuce
And anything that’s green
Although I do enjoy
An apple flavoured jelly bean

In any case, of five a day
I’m rarely ever shy
I’m pretty sure it all still counts
If it’s served up in a pie

Nice and apt. I’m trying to lose a bit but it’s not easy.
    Its incredible!
    What was considered inedible
    Becomes tasty
    When wrapped in pastry.

A pie is the best way to serve it all up.

      I’ve experimented and found
      That a pies eternal appeal
Is, be it oval, quadric or round
      It’s always a square meal.

    Of course pie counts.

And never forget that chocolate is a fruit as well 😉

You’re possibly my favorite health guru at the moment.

    Wine with breakfast,
    Wine with lunch,
    Wine with dinner,
    Even wine with brunch!

Love this and the pie solution is great but with Little Proclaims around you are certainly getting more exercise than you claim

Why is it that what tastes good isn’t healthy and the reverse is true? It would be nice if, during the pandemic, God said, “Okay, during the pandemic, you all get to eat whatever you want and as much as you want, and you won’t gain a pound.” I think that would be a nice gesture on his part and convince us all that he truly loves us, like the Bible says.

I think I may be recovering from a bit too much wine. That was supposed to be a reply to MetaMiss
